Griffith Buslines commenced operations on 1 October 2006 with the purchase of Ritchies Bus Service. The Ritchie family established this very successful business in 1937 and it has played a vital role in this very vibrant city located in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.

The district’s growth commenced in the early 1900’s after the NSW Government legislated for irrigation to be established in the area. The three predominant crops are citrus, rice and grapes. The agricultural production has led to the establishment of secondary and service industries being established, making decentralisation in Griffith a working reality.

The influx of many Italian migrants in the early days was the start of what is widely recognised as one of Australia’s most successful multicultural communities.

Griffith Buslines operates an extensive passenger and school bus service in the City of Griffith and the surrounding district.
